In May 2013 Glasgow City Council announced plans to redevelop Broomhill Primary School. Glasgow City Council held a meeting with school staff and members of the Parent Council at which they described their early thoughts about possible options for a redeveloped school. Their preferred option is to rebuild the school on a single site (the main building site).
In June the Parent Council held a meeting for parents to update them on these developments and to give parents the opportunity to comment. Architects also held workshops with small groups of pupils and parents and with the teachers to help understand the school ethos, vision and values and to generate ideas to use in the early design stages for the new school.
Over the summer further work will take place to develop designs for the new school and to start the process of getting approval and securing the necessary funds within Glasgow City Council to proceed with the process.
Further updates will be posted when they become available in autumn 2013.
