Summer Fayre

Each year Broomhill Primary School hosts its own summer fayre. This is arguably the jewel in our fundraising event crown. The sun always shines (it’s true) and the school and community contribute to a wonderful evening of fun, frivolity and socialising.

Our summer fayre is a wonderful example on how the school, the parent forum and local community can work together to raise much needed funds for our children.

We are fortunate that the local businesses also appreciate our efforts and support us in a surprising number of ways.

Previous years have seen our local TA centre join in, entertaining the children with various keep fit activities. Our local pizza provider, Papa Johns, keep our kids (and parents) in pizza for the evening at a great prices. Regular delivery runs ensure pizzas are delivered hot and fresh throughout the evening. And don’t forget our raffles benefit from  generous donations from various business – from local hair dressers to restaurants and cafes.

We’ve had a Jazz band for the last three years which provided a fantastic soundtrack to the evening’s proceedings.

And we cant forget all the favourites on offer each year

  • Bouncy castle
  • Burger & Hotdog stalls
  • Face painting
  • Plants stall
  • Tattoos
  • Tombola
  • Bar (for the parents obviously)
  • Beat the Goalie (perfect opportunity for all Broomhill competitive dads to shine)
  • Hook a Duck
  • Book Stall
  • Cat Protection League

We raise around £6000 from this event and we rely heavily on our wonderful parents and carers to spare an hour on the night. The more people who help out on the night the lighter the load. If you can help out please contact our FET by Emailing:
