As communicated previously the Design team from Glasgow City Council ran 3 workshops in the school during the week of 17th June. One each for teachers, a small group of pupils and a small group of parents. This sessions explored visions and aspirations for the new school and will help the Design team to progress their work on possible designs for the new school over the summer holiday period. Unfortunately it was only possible to involve a small group of parents in this initial stage due to the short notice given for these, but there will be further opportunities for teachers, parents, and pupils, as well as local residents and BOSCA, to comment and contribute to the plans after the summer when the Council will be able to share more detailed design ideas with us. The Parent Council has responsibility to represent parent views to the Council during this process and we will keep you informed about developments and opportunities to get involved on this website and via the notice board, twitter and our email distribution list. The school will also provide updates via the school newsletter.
Our Parent Council AGM on the evening of 11th September is open to all parents and as well as the standard reporting items telling you all about how we’ve spent our year we will give a detailed update on the proposals and how parents can get involved in the process – please mark the date in your diary.
